1. Victoria Falls (Zambia):
Visit the Falls and participate in several possible activities in and around the Falls. (All activities are optional and for your own account)
2. Botswana: Chobe National Park:
Stay two days in Chobe National Park for wildlife viewing. An abundance of elephants, lions, leopards, hippos, and many species of antelope and birds to be seen. (Daily game drives in Chobe National Park and one boat cruise on the Chobe River are the activities that are included in the price.)
3. Namibia: Okavango River:
Mahango National Park, boat trip on the Kavango River, etc. Other highlights in Namibia: Etosha National Park for wildlife viewing.
Visits to Himba villages, acquainting yourself with the Himba and Damara cultures. World Heritage Site: Bushmen rock engravings. Swakopmund, holiday mecca of Namibia. Skeleton Coast. The Namib Desert with some of the highest dunes in the world.
DAILY PROGRAM AND ACTIVITIES:
Day 1: VICTORIA FALLS:
Arrive at Livingstone (Zambia) airport. Your guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. After lunch, visit the Victoria Falls. Do a walking trail along the falls in the rainforest. Visit different viewpoints for great pictures. Back at your hotel, enjoy dinner and overnight.
Day 2: VICTORIA FALLS: ACTIVITIES:
Today, you can do the following activities and more: Visit the falls again on the Zimbabwean side of the Zambezi River. Cross the bridge via the border posts and do a walking trail for good pictures from the bridge between the two countries, and walk along the falls in the rain forest on the Zimbabwe side.
Return to your hotel by noon. During the afternoon, you can take a helicopter flight over the falls, walk with lions in the park, go for an elephant ride, or just visit the street markets in Livingstone town. Relax, dinner, and overnight. (Afternoon activities are optional and for your own account)
Day 3: BOTSWANA: CHOBE NATIONAL PARK:
Depart to Kazangula and cross the Zambezi River with the ferry to Botswana. Arrive at your lodge in Kasane town before noon. Lunch, relax, and go on a game drive in Chobe National Park during the afternoon until sunset.
Drive in open 4x4 vehicles along the Chobe River and experience closeness to herds of elephants and an abundance of wildlife species. Enjoy a sundowner in the bush and return to your lodge for dinner.
Day 4: BOTSWANA: CHOBE NATIONAL PARK:
Today you will go on an early morning drive in the park in open 4x4 vehicles to see the lion. The leopard may still be out during the early morning hours. Return to your lodge by about 10h00. Breakfast and relax at the swimming pool or visit the town and a few arts and crafts shops.
Go on a boat trip on the Chobe River early afternoon for wildlife/bird viewing. Lots of buffalo, elephants, hippos, and many other wildlife species can be observed, as well as crocodiles and many bird species. Return to your lodge after sunset for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 and 6: NAMIBIA NORTH EAST: KAVANGO RIVER:
Depart after breakfast to the Ngoma border post and travel through Chobe National Park. Visit Katima Mulilo on the banks of the Zambezi River. Drive to Divundu and check in at your lodge during the afternoon. Your lodge is on the banks of the Kavango River, and you can do a mokkoro or boat trip on the river during the afternoon. Mokoro/boat trip is optional and for your own account. On day 6, you will visit the Mahango National Park for wildlife viewing.
Day 7: CENTRAL NORTH NAMIBIA: Tsumeb:
Today you will drive through the Kavango region. After a short stop in Rundu, continue to Grootfontein, where you will enjoy lunch. Visit the Hoaba Meteorite (the biggest meteorite on earth), and drive to Tsumeb, where you check in at your lodge, and the rest of the day is at leisure to visit shopping malls and relax.
Day 8 and 9: ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK:
Today you will drive to Etosha National Park to arrive early morning. Visit different waterholes for wildlife viewing. Visit Namutoni Fort Lodge and drive through the park to make several stops for pictures of wildlife. Arrive at Halali Camp, where you check in. Do game drives during the afternoon and return to your lodge by sunset.
After dinner, you will visit the waterhole next to the camp for pictures of wildlife during the evening and night.
Day 9: National Park Tour
Visit different parts of the park and overnight at Okaukeujo Camp/lodge park. Night drives are optional and can be booked with camp officials for your own account.
DAY 10 AND 11: DAMARALAND: TWYFELDONTEIN WORLD HERITAGE SITE:
On day 10, you will visit a Himba Village on your way to Kamanjab town. Do a walking trail with one of the local guides through the village to meet the people and learn about their ancient lifestyle and culture. You will be allowed to take as many pictures as you want.
Enjoy lunch in Kamanjab and depart for the Petrified Forest. Local community guides will walk you through the park to tell you the history and show you the Welwitschia plants, which are endemic to Namibia and Southern Angola.
Arrive at your lodge late afternoon to check in and relax. On day 11, you will visit the World Heritage site: Bushmen Rock engravings. Do a short walking trail with one of the local community guides to learn about the history of the SAN people who lived here thousands of years ago.
Visit the Burnt Mountain near an old volcano, as well as the Organ Pipes rock formations. Return to your lodge for lunch and relax at the swimming pool. During the afternoon, you will visit the "Damara Living Museum". The Damara people will welcome you with their dances and show you a bit of their culture and history during the visit to the village. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
DAY 12: SKELETON COAST:
Depart early after breakfast via the Huab Valley to Skeleton Coast. Drive through the Namib Desert to Torra Bay, where you enjoy lunchpacks on the beach. Depart via Skeleton Coast Park - visit the remains of old shipwrecks and Diamond drills, and arrive at your lodge at Cape Cross early afternoon.
Relax and visit Seal Island next to the lodge, as well as Digo Cao Cross. Dinner and overnight.
Day 13 and 14: SWAKOPMUND HOLIDAY TOWN:
Depart via Henties Bay and visit shipwrecks. Arrive in Swakopmund before noon. Afternoon at leisure to visit the shopping malls, Kristal Galery, Museum, and beach during the afternoon. Enjoy dinner at one of the many excellent seafood restaurants on the beach and overnight.
On day 14, you have a choice of many activities. Your guide will assist you in making all the bookings and transport arrangements. All activities are optional and for your own account: Examples: Boat cruises, Kayaking, Quad bike guided tours in the dunes, Living desert tours, etc.
Day 15: NAMIB DESERT: SOSSUSVLEI:
Depart after breakfast via Walvis Bay and visit Dune 7, Kuiseb River Valley, and Gaub Valley, and make several stops for pictures of the ever-changing landscape and wildlife in the desert. Arrive at your lodge near Sossusvlei early afternoon.
Day 16: SOSSUSVLEI:
Today you will enter the Namib Naukluft Park at Sesriem. Drive into the dunes and stop at Sossusvlei. Visit the vlei and Dead Vlei and climb the surrounding dunes. Return to Dune 45 to climb and take good pictures of the dune area. Arrive back at Sesriem for a late lunch.
Visit the Sesriem Canyons, where you do a short walking trail into the canyons. Depart for your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 17: WINDHOEK:
Depart for Windhoek to arrive early afternoon. Check in, relax, and visit the City for some last shopping at the arts and crafts outlets. Dinner and overnight.
Day 18: DEPART:
Your guide will take you to the airport for departure
