Southern Namibia 12 Days Tour

Day 1: Windhoek:

Okapuka Ranch: Arrive early morning at Hosea Kutako airport - Windhoek. Meet the guide and drive to Windhoek. Spend some time in the City and depart to Okapuka Wildlife Ranch, about 30 km from Windhoek to check in at noon. Afternoon game drive to see rhinos and a variety of different wildlife species found on the ranch. Attend the lion feeding ceremony. Return to your lodge at sunset for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Anib - Kalahari Desert:

Depart via Windhoek to the Kalahari Desert. Arrive at your lodge at noon. Lunch, relax, and go on an open 4x4 excursion into the dunes for nature and wildlife viewing. Sundowner in the dunes and return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Fish River Canyons:

Depart early after breakfast via Mariental to Keetmanshoop. Visit the Quiver tree forest and Giants playground (rock formation sites). Lunch in Keetmanshoop. Depart to Fish River Canyon Lodge and arrive late afternoon for an overnight.

Day 4: Fish River Canyons:

Depart after breakfast to the Canyons. Visit different viewpoints for great pictures of scenery. Spend some time walking on the edge of the canyons and return to the entrance gate for a late lunch. Depart to your lodge and arrive by early afternoon to relax.

Day 5: Luderitz Bay - West Coast - Namib Desert:

Today you will drive Westwards via Aus and visit the Wild Desert Horses at Hoba. Arrive in Luderitz at the coast early afternoon and spend some time in the town and on the beach for great photos. Dinner and overnigth.

Day 6: Kolmanskop-Aus:

Today you will visit Kolmanskop Diamond Ghost Town near Luderitz. Do a guided walk through the town to hear the history of this once-flourishing diamond town. Spend enough time for exquisite photos. Return to Luderitz for lunch. Drive to Diaz Point where you do a short walk to the Diaz Cross. Visit a few small bays in the area and drive to Aus on the edge of the desert overnight.

Day 7: Sossusvlei - Namib Desert:

Depart after breakfast via Helmeringhausen and Betta to the Duwisib Castle. Enjoy lunch at Betta and visit the Castle which was built in 1902 and which is a historical monument. Depart to your lodge in the Namib Desert to arrive early afternoon. Do a short walk at Hammerstein to see leopards, cheetahs, and caracas - called the "Cat Walk". Relax, dinner, and overnight.

Day 8: Sossusvlei - Namib Desert:

Depart very early to enter the Namib Naukluft Park at Sesriem. Drive to Sossusvlei where you will do a short walking trail to the Dead Vlei and climb the dunes. Visit Dune 45 and the Sesriem canyons. Depart to your lodge in the desert to arrive by late afternoon, relax, dinner, and overnight.

Day 9: West Coast - Walvis Bay:

Depart through the Namib Desert where you will make stops for photos of this ever-changing landscape. Visit Dune 7 near Walvis Bay and enjoy lunch at the Lagoon in Walvis Bay. Visit the Lagoon area with thousands of birds, and the Salt Factories area to return to your lodge. Late afternoon and evening at leisure in Walvis Bay.

Day 10: Walvis Bay/Swakopmund:

Today is Fun and Activity Day: You have options for many different activities. Boat Cruise to Pelican Point, Quad bike guided tour in the dunes, Kayaking, and many more. Your guide will assist you with bookings and transport. All activities are optional and for your own account. Overnight in Swakopmund.

Day 11: Windhoek:

Today you will spend the morning in Swakopmund. Visit the "Kristal Galery" to see a display of semi-precious stones mined in Namibia with an extensive souvenir shop for present-hunting etc... Visit the City center shopping malls and spend some time on the beach. Lunch and depart to Windhoek to arrive by sunset. Check in, have dinner with your guide, and overnight.

Day 12: Depart:

Your guide will take you to the airport for departure.

Included in the Price is the Following:

3. Meals: All meals EXCEPT in Swakopmund where lunch and dinner are excluded

4. All entrance fees at National Parks
