Tranquil, vast, and breathtakingly beautiful, the Waterberg Region is known for its natural attractions, including undulating bushveld hills, deep gorges, clear streams, and striking mountains.
The area features many game reserves that are home to an array of wildlife, including endangered roan and sable antelope, rhino, blue wildebeest, Cape vulture, and more. Visitors can look forward to hiking through spectacular landscapes, enjoying safaris on the Waterberg Plateau, and immersing themselves in local Herero culture.

Otjiwa is one of the most diverse Namibian destinations, not only a stopover en route to the world-famous Etosha National Park and Damara or Kaokoland in the west or the Waterberg Plateau in the east. Otjiwa supports the welfare of endangered species, rare antelope, and a tremendous variety of birdlife.
Day visitors are welcome to enjoy game drives, angling, canoeing, mountain biking, stargazing, hiking, swimming, and rhino tracking.
