Package Itinerary

Adventure:

Day 1: Windhoek: Arrive at Hosea Kutako Airport. Meet your guide and drive to Windhoek to check in at your guesthouse. Afternoon at your leisure to explore the city. Dinner at Joe's Beerhouse with your guide. Discuss tour in detail. Overnight.

Day 2: Erongo Mountains: Ameib: Depart to Okahandja and visit the woodcarver markets. Drive to Ameib private game ranch and arrive by noon. Set up camp and enjoy lunch.Visit the Elephant Head and Bulls Playgrounds rock formations during the afternoon and do a short walking trail in the scenic surrounding bush. Walk back to your campsite for campfire-dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Damaraland Spitskoppe mountains: Depart to the Spitskoppe community camp. Set up camp and visit the different interesting sites in and around the mountain. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4 and 5: Swakopmund: West coast: Depart to Henties Bay at the coast. Visit shipwrecks along the coast line and arrive in Swakopmund for lunch. Check in at your guesthouse. Afternoon at your leisure to visit the Kristall Galerie (semi-precious stone-display), the museum (best in Namibia), beach, shopping malls. Dinner at a seafood restaurant and overnight. On day 5 you can participate in many activities in and around Swakopmund which can include the following: Boat trips, kayaking, quad bike tours in the dunes, Living desert tour etc.. All activities are optional and for your own account.

Day 6: Brandberg White Lady Lodge: Today you will travel North to Damaraland via Uis to arrive at the Ugab river camp at the White lady lodge by lunchtime. Set up camp and drive to Brandberg (highest mountain in Namibia) to do a walking trail into the gorge and up to the rock paintings. Arrive back at your camp for dinner and overnight. Desert Elephants may be seen in this area.

Day 7: Damaraland: Twyfelfontein world heritage site: Depart via Damaraland to Twyfelfontein to arrive by noon. Set up camp and visit the Bushmen rock engravings site where and do a short walk with one of the community guides. Visit Burnt Mountain and Organ Pipes and arrive at your campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Damaraland: Kamanjab: Today you will visit the "Damara Living Museum" and drive to the Petrified forest where a local guide will accompany you. Pay a visit to an authentic Himba village and experience the lifestyle of the Himba people from the Herero ethnic group. A local guide will walk you through the village for photos and explain the culture and lifestyle. Arrive at your campsite late afternoon for dinner and overnight.

Day 9 and 10: Etosha National Park: Over the next two days you will visit Etosha National Park for wildlife viewing. Arrive in Etosha by noon on day 9. Visit different waterholes for pictures of elephant, rhino, lion etc. On day 10 you will be out in the park for the whole day for wildlife viewing, visiting different parts of the park and the Etosha Pan. Back at your camp by sunset. The waterhole next to the camp can be visited during the evening and night for wildlife viewing.

Day 11: Windhoek: Early morning drive in the park to see more lions nearby. Return for breakfast and drive back to Windhoek to arrive by late afternoon. Check in at your guesthouse, relax, enjoy dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Depart: Your guide will take your to the airport.

Included in the price is the following:

1. Air conditioned vehicle with driver/guide(s)

2. Accommodation: Windhoek and Swakopmund: 3 star guesthouses. All other nights will be camping in tents at clean campsites with hotwater showers and ablusion facilities.

3. Meals: All meals EXCEPT for Swakopmund where only breakfast is included.

4. All entrance fees at parks

5. All activities as per the itinerary, except where indicated that it is optional and for your own account.

6. All taxes

Excluded from the price is the following:

1. All alcoholic drinks

2. All insurance on luggage and valuables

3. All activities offered by camps/lodges which is not included in above

NOTES:

1. CrissCross Namibia Safaris provides tents, matresses, pillows, and sleeping bags. If you want to bring your own sleeping bag, your are welcome to do so.

2. We will expect from guests to help the guide in preparing meals and setting up camp evey night.

3. Other: Days can be very hot: Bring a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, shoes for walking and light clothes. You need a jacket for the evenings and especially for the nights in Swakopmund. Flashlight to use while camping is a must have.
